We are the first EDI Network comprising all HEI Chemical Sciences Departments in Ireland. The role of this Network is to empower a culture of gender equality across the Chemical Sciences in Ireland and enable us to become a beacon within and beyond our institutions by leveraging sectoral experience, building a productive community of practice and collating relevant shared data.

Academics returning from maternity/adoption leave or long-term illness are relieved of teaching duties for six months. Applicants submit a research-focused plan to ensure productive reintegration.
Systematic approach achieving gender balance in research seminars through proactive recruitment and virtual delivery options, doubling female speaker representation.
One-month contract extensions allow PDRAs to gain teaching experience without impacting research. Recent recipients secured academic positions and prestigious fellowships.
